After over 10 years of wedding and engagement photography. Here are some of my favorite locations to do engagement photos in the Metro-Detroit area!
1.) The Edsel & Elenor Ford House
While there is a small fee to get your engagement photos here. I would say that it is definitely worth it! ?The grounds are stunning. Between the beautiful building, amazing landscapes, views of the water, and ivy walls galore. This is one of my absolute favorite locations!
2.) Belle Isle
Bella isle is also a stunning location for engagement photos. The island is huge and has so many unique spots. You will need a pass to shoot here as well, but totally worth it! There are buildings, the greenhouse, a large fountain, and plenty of trees and nature. The skyline view of Detroit is stunning as well! Especially at sunset! ?
3.) Atwater Brewing
Do you two enjoy craft beers? Then trying a local brewhouse is perfect! AND its a cool backdrop to your photos!!!?
4.) Stony Creek Metropark
More of a nature loving couple? Stony Creek is a great location! It has so many wooded areas, fields, and water!
5.) Yates Cider Mill
Yates is always a great choice, especially if you love cider and donuts. I recommend going in the spring as opposed to the fall. Its less busy! ?
6.) Kensington Metropark
Another great park is Kensington park! Its a large park and has so many nooks and crannies to shoot at!?
7.) Columbus County Park
Columbus County Park is a great park that is so quiet and its has some beautiful mature trees! Great for photos!?
8.) Wolcott Historic Mill
One of my favorite fall locations! This park is one of the metroparks and is a hidden gem!
9.) The Wall St. Ivy Wall in Port Huron
If you don't mind heading a little north this location is gorgeous!
10.) Indigo Lavender Farms
If you love lavender, this place is amazing!!! Highly recommend! It does have a small fee to shoot there. This is a little more north in Imlay City.
11.) Port Huron Beach
If you want quiet beachfront, this is where its at! I recommend coming for sunrise! You wont regret it!
